What are wax melts?
Wax melts are scented wax pieces, similar to candles but without a wick. You melt them in a wax warmer to release fragrance.
Are wax melts better than candles?
Many people think so because:
- You can try lots of different scents for the same price as one candle.
- They often last longer.
- They don’t produce black soot like some candles can.
How long do they last?
Two pieces of wax melt can give fragrance for up to 18 hours.
When should I change the wax?
Replace the wax after using around 2–3 tea lights (about 8–12 hours), or when you can no longer smell the scent.
What type of wax warmer should I use?
A tea light burner gives the strongest scent, but electric and plug-in warmers also work.
What does “scent throw” mean?
It means how strong the fragrance is and how quickly it fills the room.
Do wax melts disappear like candles?
No. The wax stays in the burner because it isn’t burned by a flame. You only replace it once the scent fades.
How do I remove used wax?
You can:
- Soak up melted wax with cotton wool or pads.
- Let the wax harden, then warm the dish slightly so the wax pops out.
Always dry the dish before using it again.
How do I clean the warmer?
Using either method above should leave the dish clean.
Do the wax melts use biodegradable glitter?
Yes.
Can I reuse wax melts?
You can keep reusing them until the scent is gone.
